101 Stories Celebrating Special Times with Family and Friends… and Recipes Too!
Food is an expression of love — both the romantic kind and the comforting kind between family and friends. With its savory, sweet, and sometimes spicy stories, this delightful collection will sprinkle in laughs, warm hearts of readers, and stir up memories that certain aromas and tastes always bring. Readers will relish the stories on how love and food together played a flavorful part in life. Some recipes included too!
Growing up, food was a big part of our family life. Birthdays, holidays, every type of family function involved food of some sort. Some of my best memories are sitting down to a meal that my mom or grandma cooked, and spending time with the family, talking, laughing, and having fun. I also loved learning how to cook meals, or having our baking day during the Christmas season, making all sorts of goodies to give to the neighbors (and of course keep some for ourselves)
Now that I’m grown with children of my own, I’m trying to create similar memories for them. Maybe a little bit healthier, but no less important. I’m also working on a special cookbook for each of the girls, full of their favorite recipes, to take with them when they leave the house. While food doesn’t quite take as big a roll as it did when I was younger, I still want them to remember the fun times we had in the kitchen, cooking and baking.
This book is full of those kinds of stories, some amusing, some touching. It would make a great gift for yourself, or anyone who loves to cook. I loved finding recipes every now and then in the pages, and even plan on trying some of them.

I would love to win this for my mom! She is not only a great cook, but works as a cook at a school for troubled young men.
I would give this to my mother.
I would like to win this for my friend Lisa Lee. We started a recipe exchange “club” and this would be a perfect gift for her!
I think I would keep it long enough to read and then pass it along to one of my friends to enjoy!
I’m not sure who I would give this too, but I’d find someone. We are in the middle of packing up to move, so if I kept it then it would end up in a box, haha. There are a lot of Chicken Soup for the Soul lovers out there though, so it wouldn’t be too hard to find someone.
I would like to win this for myself.
I would like to win it for my oldest daughter.
