Is Your Little One Potty Training?

It’s time for potty training in our house again. Each of our girls trained on their own schedule, Soccer Star was the earliest at barely 2, and Sweet took her time and waited until she was more than 3. Baby V is physically ready, but we’re still working on the mental aspect. She loves her diapers, and isn’t too willing to let them go yet. I haven’t forced the issue, but we have started talking a lot about it, and I’ve checked out some cute kiddo books at the library. I’ve also found a really cute potty training video, called Potty Time.
Potty Time is made by Two Little Hands, the makers of Signing Time. It’s a cute video, and the great thing about it is that it supports any potty training method. Potty Time will help your child:

  • Listen to their bodies
  • Stop what they are doing and go to the bathroom
  • Celebrate their successes
  • Deal with accidents in a positive way
  • Appreciate their amazing bodies

It has a mix of real people and animation, and is hosted by Rachel Coleman. Potty Time teaches the potty routine along with signs that children of any age can use to talk about growing up, using the potty, and celebrating successes of all kinds. Signs are especially useful for potty training infants and toddlers. The Potty Time DVD and Music CD help children feel good about their growing bodies, learn the potty routine, and celebrate successes of any kind!
Our thoughts: For as sweet and gentle as Baby V is, she is more stubborn than any of the rest of us! She is a little more open to sitting on the toilet, but that’s it so far. We haven’t had any breakthroughs yet, but I haven’t given up. She really does enjoy the video, however, and likes to watch it regularly. I’m hoping that something will click soon, but either way, we have a fun, enjoyable video that the girls like to watch.
