Update Week 1.5 #Cinchspiration #Mamavation

This is my current motto. I really needed discipline yesterday. I went with some new friends to Silver Falls State Park yesterday to hike their trails. I just did this last November with my girls, so I had some idea of what I was doing. However, there were two things I didn’t realize:

  1. I am more out of shape than the last time I went.
  2. We hoofed it. Like it took half the time to finish the almost 9 mile loop than it did 7 months ago.

So, needless to say, I was so tired. There were so many times that I just wanted to give up and wait for the helicopter to come pick me up, but (1) I didn’t want to pay the bill for that, and (2) I didn’t want to embarrass myself too much in front of these people that I just met, I kept going. I finished it. After doing a 5k the day before (admittedly, I did walk most of it), I was pretty much done in for the rest of the day. And my body is sure reacting to it now. I’m actually not as sore as I thought I would be, but I did gain a few pounds in the last 24 hours. Since my next “official” weigh-in isn’t for a couple weeks, I’m not worried about it. I knew that could happen, so I was prepared (although still a tad disappointed).
Today is the start of the newest Mamavation 2 week challenge, so my body torture will be continuing, and I hope to see some good results at the end.
I’ll talk more about Cinch in my next post, but I do want to mention that I am still working with the program. I of course have my favorite products, and my not-so-favorite products, but overall it’s an awesome program, and I’m still working on getting into the groove (didn’t help that the entire first week I was on vacation)

Have a great week, everyone. Make sure you’re drinking your water!

Good for you for pushing through that hike! Dedication is something that I think we all struggle with at some point, but I’ve found that when I force myself to just go and workout, I usually find that I really enjoy it once I get going.

That’s so true! Plus I’m still feeling the effects from it. I’m super tired today, but at the same time I have more energy and want to work out again. lol Guess I’ll go for a walk tonight.

Congrats on finishiing your hike and the 5k. I can certainly relate to the soreness but it will eventually go away. Good luck with the 2 week challenge. They are always fun and the burpees are killer but they are so good for you. Hope you have a great week!

    • Stacie says:

Thanks! I agree, the burpees aren’t exactly a “fun” workout, but they do the job. :)

Awesome job pushing through the hike, it sounded very challenging!!!

    • Stacie says:

Thanks, it was very hard. I’m going to do it again though, and maybe take a picture of the killer set of stairs to use as inspiration to not give up.

Great job with the hike. That’s not easy, and giving up seems tempting. But you didn’t! :)
