Fitness Update – March 8 #mamavation

WEIGHT
Current weight: 206.4 (TWELVE lbs lost so far this year!)
First Goal: 199 (ONE-derland!)
Second Goal: 185
Third Goal: 169 (Healthy BMI)
Final Goal: 150
I was 211 last week, which means I somehow lost 4.6lbs this week! We were in a money crunch this week, so there were a lot of bean and rice dishes, not so much meat, and I have cut out most of my bread intake.

ACTIVITY
I’ve done lots of walking, and kept up with my weight class at the gym, but STILL haven’t been trying to add in the yoga or kettlebells. :(

FOOD
Like I said above, lots of beans/rice/veggies/water this week. Not much else to say about it, it was pretty boring (although I posted a super yummy (and cheap!) crockpot meal this week, check it out here!

GOALS FOR MARCH 15
Weight – 204.2 This actually my goal by the 12th, for the DietBet thing (crossing fingers!)
Activity – Same goal as all my weeks. I’d like to get 20 miles walked this week. That would be about half at the gym, and the other half at home. Plus I want to continue to attend the weight class M/W/F mornings at the gym as well. In addition to that, I want to work on both a kettlebell and yoga routine at home. Busy busy.
Diet – Produce! The stores are filling up with fresh local produce now, and my goal is to eat as much of it as I can!

ONE MORE THING!!
I really really really need help! I’m on a search for a pair of jeans that fit, and aren’t too expensive. I have been wearing ON jeans for years, but they don’t fit the same anymore. My biggest problem is that the size that I currently wear is way too big on me (like having to hitch them up all the time), but if I go down just one size, they are too tight! Same brand, same style. I’ve tried different styles of ON as well, and it’s the same thing. What do you wear?

I have the same problem with finding good fitting jeans, so will be watching for the responses. I’ll check out Not Your Daughter’s Jeans, @RUtheMOM. :)

You’re doing awesome, keep up the good work!

Congrats on the weight loss. I wish I could help you with the jean question but I do not have any idea. Good luck

Thanks for stopping by! I have my fingers crossed, and I’ll update when I find something. :)

  4. Great job! And I’m totally checking out the crockpot meal…I love my crockpot. As far as jeans, you might try Target. They carry a lot of different styles, with stretch and without, and lots of different fits. And they’re inexpensive! Good luck!

    • Stacie says:

I did try Target, their pants fit wonderfully, but were way too short (drat these long legs!) I’d love to hear if you try the crockpot meal!

not your daughters jeans should pay me because I have been shouting their praises for the longest! They really are made for real women, with real curves. I also like CJ by Cookie Johnson, but those have been hard to find lately.

All the best with your goals!

My post deals with exactly this, too! LOL I am just hitchin’ and holdin’ and hopin’ my pants don’t fall down at this point. I look forward to finding what solution you use.

  7. Love that quote! Sorry I can’t suggest any jeans…I wear ON jeans as well.

Real Simple always seems to have a jeans guide http://www.realsimple.com/beauty-fashion/clothing/jeans-pants/best-jeans-body-type-00000000017025/index.html and the prices can be staggering but do what Jenny Decki and I do… try them on then find the same size on eBay. I picked up some $200 British maternity jeans on eBay for $15 this pregnancy and have no shame in my game. They were worth the effort and search.

Congrats on the weight loss! Keep up the good work!

  10. Maryann says:

I wear ON with a belt.

Great job this week, I am going to be checking out those crockpot recipes ASAP

  12. Dee says:

The last jeans I bought were Style&Co. From Macy’s. I have a hard time finding jeans that fit so I feel your pain. Good luck!
