Disclaimer: I was sent a planner for review purposed only. No other compensation was received and my opinions are my own.
J is starting senior year in a few weeks, and she’s already nervous. It doesn’t help that her summer officially ends the 9th, as she has two weeks of band camp (9am-8pm six days a week) followed by a week of mock trial camp/band rehearsal (9am-4pm six days), then the following week is the first day of school. Then she has homework that needs done over the summer for one of her classes, so she has already started school! Although she is excited about mock trial, adding that to her super busy band schedule, plus homework for her classes (AP and honors in her schedule again this year), plus all of the senior activites that are planned for her class, PLUS using her 5 minutes of leftover time for social activities, she’s a busy girl this year.
One of the few things that she has specifically asked for before school starts is an academic planner. When I was offered to review one for Order Out Of Chaos (OOOC), I knew that it was perfect timing, and I immediately agreed.
These academic planners are perfect for my high school daughter. There is so much room for writing in assignments, and it is even divided up so she has one space for each period, letting her be able to quickly glance at a page and know what needs done.
There is also space at the end of each day, to write in any activities that aren’t for any of her classes, such as practices and parties. And at the beginning of each month, there is a monthly calendar, and a full page for notes, so she can write in big things that are happening each month that she can’t forget, such as finals and competitions.
She is very excited about this planner, and has already started filling it in with her end of summer activities and beginning of the school year work, and she says having it all written down makes her feel better about what needs done, and she doean’t feel quite as stressed (although I know the stress won’t be gone until, well probably never, because after this year starts college!)
